Funding opportunities for PhD applicants:
We are accepting new PhD students. Our research group is interested in developing fundamental methodologies in trustworthy AI, statistical signal processing, and multimodal machine learning, as well as translational work to address real-world, interdisciplinary applications in healthcare and environmental sciences.

- A funded PhD studentship on Diffusion/LLM Powered Generative AI with Healthcare Applications
- Supervisors: Dr Yunpeng Li and Dr Ayan Das.
- Funding: Funded by Horizon Europe (home-rate fees plus a stipend at the UKRI rate; overseas applicants cover the fee difference).
- Start date: 1st October 2026 or 1st February 2027.
- Application deadline: 15th August 2026. Applications are assessed on a rolling basis, so early application is encouraged.
